Some have described us as the EdTech pioneers of the Arab World. But buzz-words aside, we're simply working to ensure that the education your child gets is up to their standards.
Chances are your child has played a game on a smartphone made in China, watched American cartoons on a tablet, and video called you when you were in Dubai. All before they ever stepped foot in a class room. Today, our team is working on projects that ensure their standards are met the next time they are in class.
We work on advancing education in the Arab World by providing up-to-date educational content, state-of-the art on-demand delivery technology, and easy access to both.
We believe that accessing good, engaging, relevant, and up-to-date education should be as easy as turning on your phone or TV.
Dars is the Arabic equivalent of ‘a lesson’ or ‘a teaching’ in English, and just like any lesson, a dars can be taught in school, at home, or out there in the real world. But regardless where one receives a lesson, education is always inherent … and that’s where we come in.
Project Arab with an E is a large and ambitious project to transform the academic content used in K-12 education systems across the Arab World. Our goal is to move schools and students from relying on static and paperbased content, to benefiting from engaging, interactive, and mobile content that is accessed from any online and offline device.
Darisni (Arabic for ‘teach me’) is an on-demand, appbased tutoring platform that connects knowledge-seeking students to prescreened and qualified tutors in the Arab World on a range of subjects. Darisni is our first project to go to market, and is helping both teachers and students every day. Currently in beta stage, the app is available on the AppStore.
